Good to discover: although downloads and mp3-players conquer the world of media, the quality of 60 year old longplayer vinyl format still is appreciated by many.

Chris Jones, the brilliant guitarist from Reno, Nevada, in 2005 sadly passed away much too early. His last album with Stockfisch from 2003 has posthumously been established over the years as a de facto standard for listening tests and demo sessions. Songs like „No Sanctuary Here“ are used by live mixers for checking the stage PAs, pieces like „Fender Bender“ have repeatedly inspired guit-bass drum trios, the title song „Roadhouse & Automobiles“ has a warm, intense width, which captivates the listeners.

Lothar Brandt in his CD review in German magazine STEREOPLAY 1/2004: „A musical masterpiece - The voice sounds mega-present, the guitar appears extraordinary contoured and corporeal, the accompaniment is in such a way vivid, even an inveterate fan of analog sound will take his hat off.“

For all of those, who like the analog sound, Stockfisch now releases „Roadhouses & Automobiles“ on Vinyl: as 180g Double-12“, 45rpm.

When Christian Kjellvander toured Europe last year, he visited Stockfisch-Records. Spontaneously Günter Pauler recorded "Solo Live" - a solo performance in the Bürgersaal, Northeim, on May 16, 2015.

With this album Tony Christie traces his family roots, which are very definitely in Ireland (not Amarillo). Like many of his generation, his great-grandfather went over to England looking for work. The legacy he left behind was a button accordion on the living-room cupboard and the songs of Ireland in the hearts of his family. 

On previous albums Allan Taylor sang songs about the road, about all the different countries and all the hotel rooms… The new album goes deeper – into time and ultimately to the recognition: “All is one”. A powerful philosophical statement delivered with virtuoso lightness.

When we planned the Vinyl-Edition of "Will You Come Home" we could not make up or mind, which CD titles should be quitted because of the LP´s limited running time. Therefore we decided in favour of a Double-LP. And now the side-length became really perfect for a four-sided 45 rpm cut.

Stockfisch's mastermind, Günter Pauler, had always been committed himself to the Vinyl format: now another Stockfisch-LP of uncompromising quality (180g vinyl, detailed booklet) is released.

Allan Taylor comments: "I thought the vinyl format was finished. However, since I have been recording with Stockfisch Records and working with Gunter Pauler I have become used to the supremely high criteria the work to, so when they suggested that we choose a few songs of mine from our catalogue for a release on vinyl I thought it was a great idea."
