Weightlessly light, yet grounded: that’s how the music on the new album from Bassface Swing Trio sounds. For this session they invited Bruno Müller, one of Germany’s most renowned jazz guitarists, and it was worth it! Because Müller is a perfect fit for the swing trio with his warm guitar sound.

The fact that they recorded these tracks live through an analog chain with the Neumann VMS-82 lathe cutting a DMM-Matrix in real-time shows at what a high-level these musicians are playing. Direct-To-Disc: honest music with no safety net and no ground. The listeners experience a maximally authentic reproduction of the sounds of the instruments as the musicians elevate swing-standards into the sphere of timeless beauty.

Zeitlos schöne Swing-Musik, brillant aufgenommen!

Der Musik von Cole Porter und von Gershwin hat sich das deutsche Jazz-Trio bereits auf zwei älteren Stockfisch-Produktionen gewidmet.

Auf ihrem neusten Album "Bossa, Ballads and Blues" wird das Trio (Thilo Wagner am Piano, Jean-Philippe Wadle am Bass und Florian Hermann an den Drums) quasi zum Quartett, unterstützt durch das filigrane und virtuose Gitarrenspiel von Bruno Müller.

Der Albumtitel gibt das musikalische Programm und die Spielrichtungen vor:
Mit "Estate" startet die Aufnahme mit einem entspannten Bossa, eine schön verträumte Ballade gibts mit "The shadow of your smile", zu hören und dem Blues wird mit dem bekannten und wunderbaren Titel "Georgia on my mind" gefrönt.

Das audiophile und geniale Aufnahmeprinzip "Live im Studio, via Analog-Mix in den DSD(DIRECT STREAM DIGITAL)-Wandler" hat sich bei ihren Produktionen immer bewährt; daran wurde auch nichts geändert und Günter Pauler hat als Produzent und Chef der feinen Northeimer Klangschmiede Stockfisch Records wieder ein talentiertes Händchen bewiesen, gute Musik ohne Netz und doppelten Boden, in brillanter Perfektion und Qualität aufzunehmen.
