Authentisches Singer/Songwriter Album der absoluten Referenzklasse!

Seit dieses Album 2003 erstmalig von Stockfisch Records auf CD veröffentlicht wurde, gilt es für mich als DAS Singer/Songwriter Album schlechthin!

Jetzt haben die Northeimer Soundspezialisten das wundervolle Werk auf einer absolut hochwertigen, 180 Gramm Doppel-12“-Vinyl, mit insgesamt 52 Minuten Spielzeit bei 45 RPM, veröffentlicht und bis auf einen Song ("The last fallen leaf") auch alles untergebracht.

Was hier musikalisch und klangtechnisch geboten wird ist absolute Referenzklasse und schwebt quasi über allem anderen!
Der in 2005, leider viel zu früh verstorbene Chris Jones (R.I.P.) war nicht nur ein begnadeter Gitarrist und Fingerpicker, sondern auch ein genialer Songwriter und Sänger, wie dieses fantastische Album wirklich eindrucksvoll und nachhaltig beweist!

Das Werk scheint wie eine Reise durch sein bewegtes Leben 'On the Road', was sich nicht nur im Titeltrack "Roadhouses & Automobiles" eindrucksvoll widerspiegelt. Eine ganz große Nummer ist auch "Thank you (R.J. Reynolds)", Chris Jones unnachahmliches Dankeschön an die Zigarettenindustrie. Gänsehautfeeling ist angesagt, wenn man sich das herrlich wummernde, basslastige "No sanctuary here", oder "Cold Creature" schön laut zu Gemüte führt.

Ein zwingendes Muss, nicht nur für Fans der eigentlich immer grandiosen, audiophilen Stockfisch-Produktionen!

Ein rundherum gelungenes Gernhör- und Wohlfühlalbum. Authentisch, ehrlich und gefühlvoll zugleich mit einem Sound zum niederknien – unbedingt kaufen, genießen und wohlige Gänsehaut bekommen!
